I enjoyed your article in the Daily Republic today clearly defining the difference between a truck and a pickup. My Dad used to tell of training me to call them “pickups” when I was young. I guess I did not enunciate the “Tr” of truck very well and it came out an activity rather than a vehicle.

I get the Bison Courier ….although living in a suburb of St Paul, MN, your rancher’s slant is something I look forward to reading every week. Thank you!

Thanks Kim! I am still back and forth with my publisher on the book but I will definitely be promoting it once it gets done! Also, I have “A Ranchwife’s Slant” fan page on facebook if interested

I’m a *newbie* in the world of ranch wives. Whenever I need a refresher on *how things are* I go to your blog and get the real deal. Thanks!

First i must say that your columns almost always ,help my wife realize she is not alone in the expieriences of ranch life . Particularly since she was not raised on one. In my opinion she has now been certified “the best” .
Secondly after 10 years she has successfully drawn a elk tag in the H3 unit and I would like to know if you know any ranchers that need some hay(large rounds or small squares , or even a good stout gelding in trade for helping us get her a nice first time elk in 2015 .Any info would be a great help and thank you. tom from the eastern side of SD.

Hi Amy, this is Lynn Harlan from Kaycee, WY. I came to the library and heard you speak, and purchased your book. I had you sign it to my new daughter-in-law, and I put it a drawer so it would stay “new”.
You might remember I asked a lot of questions- because I’ve been thinking of writing for a while. (I’m 62…..)
Guess I’ll have to read the book, or look up your columns on the computer. I checked out your website, and saw that you had written about a clothesline. Shoot! That was going to be my second column. LOL
Anyway, I sent a column into the WLR in Casper, and we’ll see what happens. Guess I’m waiting for my first rejection slip, but that’s OK. I might just keep writing! Lynn H.
